We stayed just a few days, but would happily have stayed a month. Richard and Pauline were perfect hosts, with lots of information and advice about the locality, eateries, car parks, attractions etc. We should love to stay again. September 2020
Hunter's Moon where we found everything we might need to make our stay outstanding. Comfortable rooms, gorgeous view and delightful gardens. We were made very welcome and will definitely recommend it to all our friends. September 2020

While we visited Polgooth we had a lovely stay, Richard and Pauline were very accommodating and friendly. They looked after us well during our 5 night stay, regularly going the extra mile to lend a hand and keep us comfortable. Highly recommend to any visiting the area. August 2018
Our third visit and as fantastic as ever, our bags carried upstairs, the room immaculate and such a comfortable bed. Nothing is too much trouble for Richard & Pauline, whose knowledge of the county is amazing and they are so helpful with directions etc. Will definitely be returning, theres nowhere else that we would stay in Cornwall. Directions from St Austell

Just a very short distance from St Austell.

Polgooth may be approached from either the A390 (Truro road) or B3273 (Mevagissey road). On entering the village follow the brown signs for the 'Village Stores, Post Office & Cash Machine'. Passing the shop on the left hand side, Chapel Hill is a short distance along the road on the right (marked as a 'cul de sac'), and we are at the top of the hill on the right hand side.

Satellite navigation systems often bring you into Polgooth on a road which we wouldn’t recommend (narrow, steep & few passing places) We would therefore suggest that you use the directions from our site after passing through St Austell (point 3 onwards on the 'A30 directions').

However, if you do come into the village down this steep hill (past the St Austell Golf Course), on reaching a T junction you can either turn left and then first right, or turn right and then first left. Follow the signs to the village shop, and Chapel hill will be about 100 yards further along on your right.
